(EBC; December 13, 2016) - President Dr. Mulatu Teshome says Ethiopia would provide all the necessary support for Iranian businesspersons investing in the country.
The president conferred with the departing Iranian Ambassador to Ethiopia Ali Bahreini at the National Palace on Tuesday. Dr. Mulatu stated that Ethiopia wants to work with Iran and share its experience in the fields of science and technology, which he said would help in the ongoing economic transformation.
The two sides also exchanged views on ways of further cementing bilateral relations improving trade and economic cooperation. The departing Iranian Ambassador, Ali Bahreini appreciated the development of Ethiopia in various fields.
"The change in Ethiopia is visible for everybody. We congratulate the government and people of Ethiopia for the good progress they have had," the ambassador said. "I think Ethiopia is one of the exemplary countries with regard to development issues; so we understand totally what the Ethiopian people and government are doing," he added.
